While being hitless isn’t a path to success for baseball batters (or aspiring rock stars), hitless signals are another thing entirely. Smooth, uninterrupted video and audio streams provide the best possible viewing and listening experiences. Live television broadcasts are very demanding environments for signal transmission and broadcasters have long been interested in technologies that can reduce or eliminate the number and intensity of signal disruptions.
At the 2017 NAB Show New York, Artel will showcase three new IP-Centric platforms, and feature an end-to-end hybrid IP- and fiber-based network specifically designed to address customers’ growing requirements as they migrate from direct fiber to all-IP or hybrid IP/SDI networks. Artel’s exhibit will highlight multimedia delivery, PTP Ethernet switching, and ARQ IP streaming over unmanaged networks.
